LuBIEN, BETTY J. 91, of Cape Coral, FL died Friday, July 20, 2018. She was interred at Southern Memorial Gardens in Miami on July 27. Services were held at Cape Christian Church in Cape Coral, FL on Aug. 4th. She was raised in Atlanta, Ga until 1944 when she moved to Miami. She was a beauty queen and had a career as a runway and print model when she met Arthur C Knorr. She was hired to go to NYC for modeling when he proposed to her. They married and had 3 children: Arthur (who died in 1997), William (died shortly after birth), and Linda. Her husband Arthur died in 1960. She met Francis J. LuBien and they married in 1967. They enjoyed boating, fishing, dancing, football, traveling and visiting their grandchildren until Frank died in 2001. She moved to Cape Coral to live near her daughter Linda. She is survived by her daughter Linda and her husband Dr. Joseph G Howard, her daughter in law Tanya Knorr, 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 5 great grand children.
