Barbara Boyd Inspirational InterVarsity staff member for 40 years Barbara Boyd, 94, of Lancaster, Pa., passed away on Aug. 2, 2018, at the Calvary Fellowship Homes in Lancaster, Pa. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert A. Boyd Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marjorie Boyd, and nephews, Robert A. Boyd III and Stephen Boyd. She was born in Orange, N.J., to Robert A. Boyd Sr. and Dorthea Boyd, and was a long time resident of Summit, N.J. Barbara got her undergraduate degree from Juniata College and her master's degree in Christian Education from The Biblical Seminary of New York. She taught elementary school for a few years after college, but left to attend seminary and then joined InterVarsity staff in 1950 and worked there for 40 years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Fellowship Homes, 502 Elizabeth Drive, Lancaster, Pa. (717) 393-07111.
