Andrew J. BrandiJune 23, 1927 - August 2, 2018Andrew J. Brandi passed away on August 2, 2018. A resident of San Mateo, he was born in San Francisco in 1927 and graduated from Mission High. Andy served in the U.S. Navy on a PBM seaplane during World War II. In 1950, he married Adele Sechini who passed away in 1997. The couple had two children, Richard Brandi and Laura Brandi Sorich. Andy served with the San Francisco Fire Department for 30 years and retired as Assistant Chief. He was a craftsman who was happiest when helping friends and family with remodeling projects, doing carpentry of all kinds, creating stained glass, restoring autos, and many other things. He was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West for more than 60 years, a long-term member of the Fusiha Society, and taught computer classes at the San Mateo Senior Center for many years. Andy is survived by his children and grandchildren, Lauren Sorich and Michael Sorich.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10am, August 11, 2018 at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home in San Mateo. Reception luncheon to follow.
