Dolores Carmen Prado Marino Verizon manager, retired to a life of 'traveling, laughing, and loving family and friends' Dolores Carmen Prado Marino, 77, passed away in peace on Aug. 1, 2018. A Catholic Mass will be held on Aug. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Parish, Barnegat, N.J., followed by a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. at Skippers Cove Beach Club Waretown, N.J. Dolores proudly originated from Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a longtime resident of Nutley, N.J., and Waretown. She was born to Carmen Beltran Prado and Charles Prado. She was a fiercely tenacious woman who possessed a street-smart sensibility. Dolores was an avid reader, competitive domino player, and passionate about technology and life in general. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Louise Carmen and Josephine Francine. Dolores had an exceptional work ethic and graduated with her associate's degree from Thomas Edison University. She proudly worked 30 years as a manager at Verizon, as well as other phone companies. In addition, she spent 22 years in the Ocean County Library-Stafford and Waretown branches. Upon retirement, she spent her final years volunteering as a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team Program) member, engaging with the Skipperettes, a parishioner of St. Mary's, traveling, laughing, and loving her family and friends. Dolores is survived by her brother, Charles A. Prado and his fiancee, Judy, along with her daughters, Louise Gabriele, Josephine Marino Santana; son-in-law, Westly Santana; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Casandra, Monica, Faith, and Marley, and two great-grandchildren, Giovanna and Isabella.
