Audrey B. Appel

Faleceu

July 31, 1934 - August 1, 2018 "In our life there is a single color, as on an artist's palette, which provides the meaning of life and art. It is the color of love." Marc Chagall In every facet of Audrey Appel's life, she splattered colors of love: Red: the passion she put into being a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. Yellow: the warmth she showered on her friends and family in their moments of happiness and turmoil. Turquoise: The tranquility she embodied whenever she was near her beloved ocean. Saffron: The fire she put into every task. Painting. Cooking, Teaching, Counseling, Golf. Charity. Entertaining. Emerald: The way she could look at the mundane and see something fresh, exotic, aesthetic. Her artist's eye. Purple: The creativity she wove into everything she did and everything she touched. Magenta: Her vibrancy, her tenacity, her huge personality. All of this, and so much more will be missed by those who she loved and who loved her most: her husband, Martin Appel, her children, Lynne Appel (Mike Feldman), Leslie Appel, Leanne Appel-Oudenaar (Frans Oudenaar) Richard Appel. Her grandchildren: Michelle Gerson (Brandon) Sean Appel, Hillary Kern (Lee LaMarche), Kyle Oudenaar, Dylan Oudenaar, Jake Oudenaar. And her great-grandchildren: Dalia and Remy Gerson. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, August 5th, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W. Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to the Appel Family Fund, LARC Ranch, 29890 North Bouquet Canyon Road, Saugus, Ca 91350.
