Barbara Frances Gleason née Connell, a 43 year resident of Twain Harte, CA died at the age of 75 in her home on July 12, 2018. Born in Los Angeles on April 8, 1943. There will be celebrations of life in both northern and southern California (TBD). She is survived by her husband, John Gleason to whom she was married for 48 years, as well as her daughters Jennifer Gleason (Oakland, Ca), Tiffany Gleason (St. Paul, MN), Cathrine Baglo (Tromsø, Norway) and three granddaughters Katinka Baglo Olsen, Marta Baglo Olsen and Nanna Baglo Olsen. Barbara is also survived by her two sisters Julie Connell (Torrance, CA) and Jane Fischel (Tustin, CA). She was preceded in death by her sister Janet Smeltzer (Batavia, IL) and her parents Alicia and Frank Connell (Cerritos, CA). Barbara loved animals, traveling, painting, laughing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She taught for 37 years impacting students from kindergarteners to teen mothers. Her smile and kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
