January 18, 1924 - July 9, 2018 Carol Reynolds Malone passed away July 9, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born January 18, 1924 in Los Angeles. After graduating from Los Angeles High School, she began working for the Automobile Club in Los Angeles where she met her first husband, James Douglas Reynolds. Together they were fortunate to have four children before Jim passed away. Widowed, Carol married Charles Morton Malone, M.D. Carol was an active member of the community and belonged to many charities including the American Red Cross, Junior League of Pasadena, the California Hospital Women's Service Guild, PTA, P.E.O. and Scouts. Carol and Charlie Malone were active members of Annandale Golf Club where they enjoyed many friends and memorable rounds of golf. They participated in club tournaments and on occasion won. Carol was preceded in death by her brother James H. Davis, husband James D. Reynolds, husband Charles M. Malone and grandson James Craig Reynolds. She is survived by her four children; Robin A. Haskell (Jay), James D. Reynolds, Jr. (Elma), Mark D. Reynolds (Kaye), Craig B. Reynolds (Cindy) and Dr. Malone's four children? Kathleen Lawson (Gary), Charles B. Malone (Susan), Melinda Schmitz, Carla Bratten and numerous grand and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank their mother's caregivers, Violet, Annie and Marilou who provided much love and care during Carol's final years. Our family was grateful for her special companionship with Mr. Terry Hollern and his family. Carol devoted her life to her family and many friends. She will always be remembered for her faith and her gentle, elegant, gracious, kind and loving ways. We miss you Nana and will always love you. Services will be private.
