Anna M. Popik Loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister Anna M. Popik (nee Piga) 94, of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral at the Corsentino Home For Funerals, 620 Second Ave., corner of John St., Elizabeth, N.J., on Wednesday, July 25, at 8:15 a.m., thence to St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Elizabeth where, at 9:30 a.m., a Funeral Mass will be offered. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. Anna was born in Bayonne, N.J., and moved to Elizabeth in 1957. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family, and was a member of the Peterstown Senior Club. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Anna is survived by her daughters, Juliana Tripka (Michael) and Marie Downs; son Steven Popik Jr. (Susan); seven cherished grandchildren; five treasured great-grandchildren; brother Stephen Pega, and her companion of over 20 years, Charlie Olivieri. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Steven G. Popik Sr.; her longtime companion, Lou Young, and brother, William Piga.
