Alyce M. Dowey. Loving daughter of the late John P. Dowey and Alice M. Dowey (née Ward). Cherished sister of: Father Alexander Dowey, OFM and the late Margaret M. ( late Don) Frank and Mary K (late James) Bertelsen. She is survived by 8 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great-great nieces and nephews. Alyce enjoyed a successful career as a foreign language teacher at Alvernia High School, and was an avid traveler and supporter of the Arts, Opera, and cultural events. Memorial Visitation Monday, July 30 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago. Funeral Mass to follow at 10 am at Queen of All Saints Basilica.
