Anthony "Tony" Thomas Falcone
1938-2018
Anthony "Tony" Thomas Falcone, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at his home in the presence of his family. Anthony was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia Marie Colletti Falcone.
Anthony's father, Joe Falcone, was the grounds-keeper at St. Thomas Catholic High School for many years. His mother cooked for the priests throughout their years of them living on the school grounds. Anthony attended and graduated from St. Thomas Catholic High School in 1957.
Anthony worked for Weingarten's grocery store starting at the age of 12 and worked for them from 1950-1977. Anthony opened Thrif-Tee #2 Supermarket in 1977. He owned and operated the store with his sons and daughters until he retired in 2002.
Anthony was survived by his 4 children: Son, Joseph Anthony Falcone and wife Guillermina; son, Samuel Thomas Falcone; daughter, Nancy Katherine Falcone Henry and husband William; daughter, Jennifer Marie Falcone Ramirez and husband Frank. Grandchildren: Joshua, Virginia, Isabela, Bryan, Zachary, Maxwell, Daniel, and Jeremiah.
Anthony's life was greatly enriched these last 6 years by the companionship of his friend, Kathryn Rumore. She truly made his life fulfilling, adventurous, and enjoyable. His children and grandchildren are thankful to have her in their lives.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 7:00 pm with a Vigil at 8:00 pm at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, Texas 77379. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Monday July 23, 2018 at 11:00 am in the St. Ignatius Loyola Chapel with the Rite of Committal to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. The family invites you to attend a life celebration meal at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in the Sexton Hall at 4:00 pm following the graveside service.
