Alma Cristauro-Carchietta Retired from Merck Alma Cristauro-Carchietta, 89, formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., then Iselin, N.J., a retired Fleet administrator at Merck Sharp & Dohme, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Brightview Senior Living in Randolph, N.J. Visitation is Sunday, July 22, 2018, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph, N.J., www.tuttlefh.com. Funeral Mass is Monday, July 23, 2018, at 11 a.m., at St. Cecelia's Church, 45 Wilus Way, Iselin, N.J. Interment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave., Colonia, N.J. Born Alma Carnicelli in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, she moved to New Dorp, N.Y., in 1930. Mrs. Cristauro-Carchietta was a graduate of New Dorp High School and earned her degree in business from Packard Business College. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Cecelia R.C. Church, Iselin. She was involved with many volunteer activities, including Meals-On-Wheels, Metuchen, N.J. She is survived by her husband, Alfred R. Carchietta, who she married in 2003. She was predeceased by her late husband, Leo Thomas Cristauro; sister, Inez Carnicelli-Gertner; and niece, Elizabeth Volsario. In addition to her husband, surviving Mrs. Cristauro-Carchietta are brother-in-law, Leslie Gertner; nephew, Lawrence (Ingrid) Gertner; great-nephew, Matthew Gertner; daughter, Christina (Steve) Rome; sons, Anthony (Elizabeth) and Vincent (Danielle) Carchietta; grandchildren, Regina, Lia, Elizabeth, Steven, Anna Maria, Gabrielle, Thomas, and four great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alma's honor to mealsonwheelsamerica.org or habitat.org.
