Ann Marie, or "Mama Wood," was born on March 23, 1962, in Hoboken, N.J., to Johannes and Rachel Rustemeyer. After graduating from Carteret High School in 1980, she went to Middlesex County College in hopes of becoming an actress. After a recommendation from her father, she transferred to Woodbridge Business School and obtained a certification for secretarial work. On Oct. 7, 1989, Ann Marie married Richard Wood, with whom she built a loving family of three children, Holly, Rose, and Richard. While she was a strict mother, her children always knew love, and the people against her children always knew vengeance. Ann Marie Wood may not have become the actress she strived to be, but she made an impact with her presence, making herself known in every scene in her life. Through her roles as daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, and friend, she always played the part with everything she had. She will always be remembered for her outspoken personality, extravagant goodie bags, and love of dancing. Ann Marie was predeceased by her father, Johannes Rustemeyer; her sister-in-law, Denise Rustemeyer; her sister-in-law, Lisa Rustemeyer; her aunt, Marie Potter; her uncle, Gene Potter; her aunt, Inge; her Pietropaolo uncles, Benjamin, Jerry, Tony, and Michael, and her cousins, John Pietropaolo and Gina Mecca. Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Rick, and her three children, Holly, Rose, and Richard. Also grieving are her mother, Rachel Rustemeyer; her siblings, James, Johnny, Michael, Rachel, and Joann, and her nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Philipp, Melissa, Kearsten, Thomas, Jenifer, Sara, Kassidy, Faith, Deanna, Kamryn, and Tyler.
