SHEEHAN Arthur J., 94, a lifelong resident of Beverly, died Saturday July 14 at Essex Park in Beverly. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Helen M. (Campbell) Sheehan. Born in Beverly Farms on February 9, 1924, he was the son of the late Dennis F. and Eleanor (Connolly) Sheehan. He proudly served his country during WWII as a military police officer in the United States Army. He was the principal of the former Knott, Sheehan Food Brokerage Firm of New England until the time of his retirement. In addition to his wife Helen, Arthur is survived by four children Kathleen E. Sheehan and Richard L. Green of Beverly, Judith E. Sheehan and Micki McVann of Plum Island, Timothy J. Sheehan and his wife Joan of Newburyport and Michael D. Sheehan and his wife Susan of Beverly; two brothers Msgr. Dennis F. Sheehan of Newton and William A. Sheehan and his wife Susan of Marblehead; one sister Mary E. Sheehan of Marblehead; nine grandchildren Jessica E. Newman, Joseph A. Newman, Christopher M. Sheehan, Kelley E. Adams, Katelyn L. Fulmer, Patrick A. Sheehan, Andrew M., Scott J. & Allison A. Sheehan, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gregory P. Sheehan and the late Nancy E. Peirce. Arthur's funeral Mass will be celebrated by his brother Msgr. Dennis F. Sheehan at St. Margaret's Church, Beverly Farms on Tuesday at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment with military honors will be in Beverly Farms Cemetery following his Mass. Contributions may be made in his memory to 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
