Elliot Bruce Kleiman, age 80, of Cooper City, Florida, passed away on July 10, 2018. Elliot was the loving son of Lenore and Milton Kleiman; the husband of Myra for the past 17 years, and of Judy until her death in 2000; the father of M. Scott Kleiman (Shari) and Karen Kleiman; and the grandfather of Rachel Warsett (Ross), Samantha Kleiman, Alexandra Wolf, Zachary Kleiman, and Lyndsey Kleiman. Elliot lived life on his terms and had diverse interests. An amateur radio operator (WA4YDK), Elliot was a computer science professor at Miami-Dade Community College, St. Thomas University, and Barry Universities, and an entrepreneur. Elliot served as a Cooper City City Commissioner, was an avid rollerblader, and generally fun loving. He gave of his time as chair of the Davie-Cooper City Relay for Life, through the Starlight Foundation and Cooper City Citizens on Patrol. The Miami Beach native attended UF, and held two Masters Degrees and a PhD. He loved driving Corvettes, playing poker with the Tuesday Night Poker Group, sky diving and snow skiing. His love of life and his family, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at noon on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Memorial Chapel, 3201 N 72 Ave., Hollywood, FL, followed by burial at Mt. Nebo Miami Memorial Gardens, 5505 NW 3rd St., Miami, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Parkinson's Foundation at 200 SE 1st St, #800, Miami, FL 33131 or online at Parkinson.org.
