BERNARD RAYMOND BRADDOCK  
Bernard Raymond Braddock, a retired longtime educator with the D.C public schools, died June 25, 2018. He was 84. Born in Washington, D.C., Mr. Braddock graduated from Armstrong High School in 1952 and received his bachelor's degree in 1957 from D.C. Teachers College. From 1959 through 1970, he worked at the U.S. Government Printing Office. In 1973, he received his master's degree from Federal City College. Mr. Braddock worked in the D.C. public school system from 1970 until his retirement in 1993. He taught at Ballou High School and went on to serve in a variety of administrative posts as assistant principal or principal at various schools. He was active in the Howard University Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, serving as its president in 1986-87. He is survived by his wife, Frances Alexander-Braddock; by two daughters from his first marriage, Sandra and Pamela; by three siblings; and by 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, 206 New York Ave., NW, Washington, DC.
