BARBARA CHUBA NICHOLAS  (Age 80)  
Of Herndon, VA, passed away on July 4, 2018. She was born on January 1, 1938, in Washington, PA. She is survived by four children, Chana Richitt, Holly Nicholas, Marshall Nicholas II, and Autumn Hoffman; ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Nicholas, two sons, Mark and Drew Nicholas, and her siblings, Henry Chuba and Henrietta Ladzinski.  She attended Slippery Rock University as a nursing student before raising a family, and lived in several different states, including Michigan, California, Ohio, and Texas- before calling Virginia home. She was a dedicated employee of Northern Virginia Pediatrics for over 30 years, and served as her family's constant "advice nurse" for many years beyond that. She loved animals and plants, and kept a house full of both. She also had a penchant for fashion and loved spending time with her large and adoring family.  All who knew her will remember her for her strong will, bold personality, and warm heart. She made an impression on everyone she met with her sass and quick wit.Services will be private, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the .
