Barbara (Bobbe) Goodwin Platt, born March 21, 1927 passed away peacefully July 3, 2018 at age 91. Raised in Park City and Salt Lake, she graduated from East High. She married J. Lowell Platt in the Salt Lake Temple June 12, 1946. She is survived by her children Jim, Kristen, Randy and Gayle, 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Bobbe was an exceptionally generous and talented woman, equally handy with a hammer or quilting needles and spent her life serving others. She held various church callings, taught piano and swimming lessons and gave many hours to volunteer work. After age 45, she obtained a BA from the University of Utah and her nursing degree from Weber State College and learned Spanish. Then served an LDS mission in Bolivia and volunteered as a nurse on 9 humanitarian medical excursions. She was a woman of deep faith, optimism and patriotism who had friends of all ages.
