Carmella 'Millie' Criscitiello Her greatest joy was her family Carmella "Millie" Criscitiello (Costabile) of Mountainside, N.J., devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the age of 90 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, N.J., surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held at Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains on Friday, July 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 7 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Martine Ave. in Scotch Plains at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery on Woodland Ave. in Plainfield, N.J. Millie was born in Newark, N.J., where she resided with her seven siblings. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Schwahl, Antoinette Borkowski, Lucy Scanzillo, Ann VanOrmer, and her brother, James Costabile. She is survived by her sister, Nancy D'Elia and brother, Frank Costabile. Millie is also survived by her beloved husband, Anthony, whom she married in 1948. They lived in Mountainside, where they raised their daughters, Dorian DiPace and Michelle Criscitiello, and their son, Ronald Criscitiello. Her extended family brought her much happiness and included five grandchildren and their spouses: Jennifer DiPace and husband, Neil Goyal, John DiPace and wife, Lara DiPace, Ra Criscitiello and wife, Jill McCullough, Ali Criscitiello and wife, Amy Nihls, and Shana Criscitiello. She also had four loving great-grandchildren: Ava Goyal, Zachary Goyal, Jackson DiPace, and Caia DiPace. Millie's greatest joy was her family.
