Ellen, died peacefully in the home of her family on 9th June 2018, aged 96. A beloved wife to John, an adored mother to Margaret, and a sublime grandmother to Thom and Hannah. She was a lifelong reader of the Telegraph and loved art, flowers, nature and crosswords. Full of joy and laughter until the end, she remains an inspirational example of how to grow old while maintaining a sense of wonder about the world. Funeral at Beckenham Crematorium on Thursday 28th June at 12.30 p.m. Donations, in her memory, to World Wildlife Fund, Kidney Care UK and St Christopher's Hospice.
