DONALD LEE IMLER
1933-2018
Don, 85, passed June 27th after a 38-year battle against heart disease. He's survived by his wife of 62 ½ years, Mildred, daughters, Vickie and Brenda, special friend Sharon Hale, sister-in-law, Nancy Ellis and husband, Eddy, brother-in-law, Howell McConnell, numerous nieces, nephews and his beloved cat, Martie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pansy and Dan Imler, brother Dale Imler, sister Sharon Sarver and his "adopted British daughter, Sue Mott."
Don was born in Kansas City, MO on June 14, 1933. He was drafted into the US Army and stationed in Austria. He was honorably discharged in May, 1955 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He graduated from UH with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and was a Registered Professional Engineer.
Don was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed golf, shooting craps, reading, cars and puzzles. He was much loved by his family and friends and is dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held July 10th at 10:30 a.m., Audubon Clubhouse Classroom at Eagles Trace, 14703 Eagle Vista Dr., Houston, TX 77077. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Citizens for Animal Protection.
