TOROSSIAN, ALFRED HRAT Alfred was born on June 26, 1934 in Lynn, Massachusetts to James and Armenouhie Torossian. He graduated from Lynn English High School in 1952 and entered trade school to study to be an electrician while working in the body shop industry. In 1955, he moved to Miami and shortly thereafter found his true calling, the newspaper industry. On March 7, 1957, he began his 39-year career,spanning five decades, working for The Miami Herald and Miami News. He started as a Type Setter and worked his way up to Paste-Up Artist as technology changed. He was a dedicated parishioner of SaintJohn and Saint Mary Armenian Churches, where he served on the parish council for several years, as well as, an avid member of the Men's Club. He enjoyed playing golf, going to the beach, and following his belovedRedsox, Celtics and New England Patriots. He is survived by his wife Varsenic, his sons James and Alfred Jr., daughter-in-laws Marie and Marina, and grandchildren Alex, Gabriella, and Vahag. Viewing will be held at: Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Home, 3344 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135 on Thursday, July 5th from 6-10 p.m. Prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
