Anita Mae Duke Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Anita Mae Duke, 78, made her transition on June 23, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 149 Springfield Ave., Newark, N.J. Entombment is at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, N.J. Visitation is Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home. Born in Newark, N.J., Anita was a resident of Union, N.J. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruce Duke; devoted mother of Kathy Duke Jackson (Eric); dear daughter of the late Wilbur and Myra Baker; loving sister of Noreen Baker and the late Wilbert, Vernon, Edward, and Jerome Baker, and cherished grandmother of Kendra Jackson. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
