Agnes Virginia AndersonOn June 25th, 2018, Agnes Virginia Anderson of Sacramento peacefully left this earth to join her husband Walter, patiently awaiting her arrival in heaven.

Agnes lived life to the fullest. It began on April 2nd, 1924 when she was born to Annie Evelyn Vinson (Hunt) and Joseph Carroll Vinson in Oakland, California.

Raised in Oakland, she graduated from Holy Names High School, where she was student body president in 1942. She attended Holy Names College for one year.

She then received her degree in Pharmacy from UCSF in 1947.

She met her husband Walter Colonel Anderson in Pharmacy School and they were married November 15th, 1947. They soon moved to Sacramento and not only began a family, but also opened their family business (With Harold & Mary), Anderson Bros. Pharmacy on Valentine's Day 1949.

Over the years, Agnes was a loyal parishioner of St. Philomenes, St. Ignatius, and Our Lady of Assumption Parishes. She gave to many including: Mercy General Hospital and The Sisters of Mercy, Arden/Arcade Rotary, Stanford University, Holy Names University, University of California San Francisco, Loretto, Jesuit, Bellarmine, and Christian Brothers High Schools, and St. Ignatius Loyola Parish.

Agnes is survived by her children: Kathleen, Robert, Thomas, Geri and Steve. Five grandchildren also survive Agnes: Meghan, Colleen, Brady, Katie and Kyle. Her Mother Evelyn, Father Joseph, Husband Walter, Sister Mary, Brother-in-Law Harold, and Grandson Brian preceded her in death.

A visitation will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish on Friday, July 6th at 6:30pm, followed by a rosary at 7pm. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 11am Saturday, July 7th at St Ignatius. A reception will follow.

A private burial is planned.
