Barbara (Barbie) Lee was born August 24, 1956 in Salt Lake City to LaVon Thomas and Percy Lee. She died June 16, 2018 in Salt Lake City. She was the fourth child in a family of three brothers, Sterling, Verdo, Richard and sister Mary. Barbie was a sweet little sister to her brothers and a protective older sibling to her sister. Barbara enjoyed reading, most notably science fiction and listened to jazz, R&B and rock. She was an avid martial arts enthusiast who attended classes in college and loved Bruce Lee movies. She cultivated lasting and meaningful relationships with friends earlier in life. Her death leaves the family with a deep sense of loss, but they know that her suffering has finally come to an end. She leaves behind siblings, a sister-in-law as well as three nephews, a niece and great-nephew. Proceeded in death by her mother, father and nephew. The family would like to thank the great people at Millcreek Rehabilitation and Nursing for the care they gave Barbara all these years. Our thanks also to Tender Care Hospice for the assistance they offered in her final days. A private family graveside ceremony was held Saturday, June 30 at Murray City Cemetery.
