Carolann Dolores Jones

Faleceu

February 24, 1944 - June 23, 2018 A proud mother, grandmother and native of Temple City, California, Carolann Dolores Jones devoted her life to family and faith. She passed away from pneumonia on June 23 just three months after her husband of 55 years, Dennis. A second-generation Angeleno, Carolann was the daughter of two of St. Luke Catholic Church's founding "Chicken Coopers," Helen and Herman Von Eute. She was raised with sister, Mary Jo in the family's just-built Alessandro Ave home during the days when the Red Car still ran on Las Tunas. Carolann loved to recall fun times growing up with her McConnell and Von Eute cousins. She attended St. Luke School and graduated from Pasadena's St. Andrew High School before beginning her career as a dental hygienist. Carolann met Dennis and married in 1963. The couple cruised "American Graffiti-style" with friends and enjoyed many gatherings and weekend getaways with Mary Jo and Ted, Bob and Bev, and Dee and Galen. After settling in Temple City, they raised three TCHS Rams, Maryann, Margaret, and Dennis Michael. Carolann was a tireless volunteer for St. Luke parish and her kids' schools, performing arts groups, and sports teams. She and Dennis loved to host parties for family and friends, with epic, homemade feasts and late-night dancing and poolside fun. Since 2000, Carolann has been a devoted grandma to West, Pearl, Andrew, Patrick, Lila, Adam and Abigail, often cooking special breakfasts, attending sports games, and throwing birthday celebrations. After Dennis retired from ARCO, the pair enjoyed traveling, gardening and hosting family gatherings. We are incredibly sad to lose you, Mom, so soon after Dad, but we know you are having fun together again. We will always remember your perfect smile, sharp mind, infinite memory, raging parties, scrumptious meals, Christmas morning cinnamon rolls, spotless home, gorgeous yard, impeccable appearance, chatty calls, caring spirit, sweet greetings, and puckery kisses. Funeral – St. Luke, Monday, July 2 at 9am. Rosary – Pierce Bros. Turner & Stevens, Sunday, July 1 at 5pm.
