Angela Marie Rubbone Dearest wife, mother, and stepmother, phys ed teacher and coach at Kearny H.S., 66 Angela Marie Rubbone (nee Amorosi), 66, of Towaco, N.J., passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Friends may visit with the family at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Rd., Wayne, N.J., on Thursday, June 28, from 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 29, at 10:45 a.m. from the funeral home, then to St. Pius X Church, 24 Changebridge Rd., Montville, N.J., where at 12 noon, a Funeral Mass will be offered. Born in Newark, N.J., Angela was raised in Bloomfield and West Orange, N.J. A graduate of Mountain High School, class of 1969, she earned her bachelor's degree in 1973, from the Panzer School of Physical Education at Montclair State University. Angela went on to enjoy a 35-year career as physical education teacher at Kearny High School until retirement in 2008. She was the school's first ladies track coach and also enjoyed serving as the school's gymnastics coach for many years. It was at Kearny High School that she also met her beloved husband, Joseph, a fellow educator, and they were blessed with 39 years in a loving marriage, residing in Towaco, N.J.,since 1988. Angela was a very sociable, loving, and giving person who was most sincerely devoted to her family, but who also lovingly gave of her God-given time, talents and treasures in the service of friends and those in need. Angela was the beloved wife of Joseph. She was the loving mother of Joseph M. of Hoboken, N.J., and Alisa and husband, Sean Rice, of Santa Monica, Calif., and loving stepmother of Pamela and Jennifer Rubbone, both of Queen Creek, Ariz.. She was the dear sister of Charles and wife, Lois Amorosi of Cape Coral, Fla., and dear sister-in-law of Rae-Ann "Dolly" Amorosi. She is also survived by numerous dear cousins, nieces, and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Angela was predeceased by her loving parents, Gerardo and Margaret Amorosi, and her dear brother, Gerald Amorosi.
