Ann J. Masi Centenarian, raised her family in Summit Ann J. Masi (nee Rispoli), 103, of Ramsey, N.J., passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018, with her daughter Joyce Mason by her side and surrounded by the love of her family. The beloved wife of the late Dominic M. Masi, Ann was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was predeceased also by her parents, Anna and Salvatore, son, Michael, brothers, Frank, Gerard, and John, and sister, Carmella. After graduating from high school, she worked for RCA in the experimental radio tube division working on tube filaments. She was also a waitress in Bamberger's dining room. After her marriage to Dominic in 1944, they moved to Washington, D.C., where her husband was an officer in the U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships. In 1946, after her husband's discharge from the Navy, they moved to Summit, N.J., where they raised their family. A parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Summit, Ann was active in its Rosary Society and in sewing hundreds of baptismal robes. She was also a member of the Busy Bees sewing group, the Golden Age Club, and AARP. She volunteered at her children's schools, at St. John's Soup Kitchen in Newark, and at Runnells Hospital. In 2010 she moved to Joyce's home in Ramsey, N.J., where she was a member of St. Paul R.C. Church and the Ramsey bingo and crocheting groups. A loving homemaker, Ann enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially for their festive holiday gatherings. She loved to sew clothes for her children when they were young. She also enjoyed reading, travelling, and gardening. She is survived by her children, Joyce Mason (Jack), Peggy Masi (wife of the late Michael), Margaret McManus (James), and Virginia Stiponovich (Randy). Also surviving are grandchildren, John, Aileen, and Michael Mason (Rima), Brian McManus (Megan), Amy Doyle (Erik), Mark McManus (Lisa), Kimberly, Robyn, and James Masi (Paige), and great-grandchildren, Reid, Connor, Shannon, Hunter, Ella, Caitlyn, Dominic, Nicholas, and Patrick. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey. Interment will follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery in Summit, N.J.
