Allen C. Cooper Devoted husband, father, and stepfather Allen C. Cooper, 67, made his transition on June 18, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Whigham Funeral Home, 580 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., Newark, N.J. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, N.J. Visitation is Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A lifelong resident of Newark, N.J., Allen was a counselor at Integrity House. He was the beloved husband of Dr. Marilyn Cooper; devoted father of Walisa Reid (Terrance), Allen Cooper Jr., and stepfather of Denisah Williamson and Nicole Lennon; loving brother of Jacqueline Cooper; cherished grandfather of Jameel Cooper, Asmar Bilal, Tiffany, Tianna and Teia Richardson, Elijah Dickey, and step-grandchildren, Amiyah Williamson, Mecca Lennon, and Rickia (Assata) Williams. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
