FREDA Claire L (Cooper) Freda, formerly of Medford, died Friday June 15 after battling a long illness. She was 69 years old. After raising three children, she earned her degree from the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology. She would later work at Shooshanian Engineering, until becoming afflicted with Acromegaly. Mrs. Freda loved spending time with her family, and always made sure there was plenty of food and gifts for birthdays and holidays, even during difficult times. She enjoyed animals, particularly Gracie, her late German Shephard and Sammy the cat. She was the daughter of the late Ethel (Oliver) Cooper. Mrs. Freda is survived by her loving husband Joseph; daughter Lisa (Porter), and husband Robert Dunphy; son Robert, and his wife Anne Porter; and son Brian Freda. She was the proud and loving Grammy of Robert "Calvin" and Jason Porter. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life at the Community Baptist Church in North Medford, on Friday June 29, at 10:30 AM.
