Diane Bohlke

Faleceu

January 31, 1945 - June 18, 2018 Diane Renk Bohlke, 73, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 18th in Los Angeles, CA. Diane was born on January 31, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ. She attended nursing school at St. Mary's in Hoboken, NJ, and then got her BS at Georgetown University, where she met her first husband, Thomas Renk of Sea Girt, NJ. Diane and Thomas were married in 1968 and had a daughter, Jennifer Renk of Oakland, CA. After Thomas' sudden passing in 1979, Diane moved from Berkeley, CA, to Los Angeles, where she worked on political campaigns and eventually met the love of her life, Michael S. Bohlke. Diane and Michael were married on July 7, 1984 and settled in Beverlywood, CA. Diane went back to school and earned her Ph.D. in Psychology in 1987 and enjoyed a career as a licensed psychologist up until to her final days. Diane loved all things political, crossword puzzles, reading and enjoying time with family. She also loved to laugh – an incredibly endearing quality. She was fiercely devoted to her patients, all of whom will miss her compassion and dedication greatly. Diane leaves her husband, Michael, and her daughter, Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Frances and Hugh Gillespie, as well as her brother, Daniel Gillespie. As a wife, mother, therapist, and friend, Diane was loved by many and will be deeply missed. We are blessed in knowing that she is finally free from pain. Services are to be held at 9:00 am on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Avenue, Culver City, CA.
