Carter; loving sister of John Marshall Dawson Juanita Wilson, Archie Lee Dawson, Jr., and Jane Andrews; loving mother of Ada Crews-Wilkerson, Etta Crews and Gloria Pitchford; grandmother of Diane, Catherine, Robbie, Andrea, Abscena, Juwana, LaTasha, Jamice, Dechanta, Charmaine, Lachelle, Charlene, Stephanie, Andre, Jewell, Lawrence, Bubba and Valerie; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three very close friends, Rachel Jones, Conceda Carey and Mary Bea Thomas and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at The New Macedonia Baptist Church, 4115 Alabama Ave., SE, Washington, DC, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date.
