Aram R. Bogosian

August 24, 1925 - May 26, 2018 Aram Raymond Bogosian, beloved husband of Lucille died May 26th at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 24, 1925, son of Mugredich and Agnes Bogosian. He grew up in Los Angeles and was very active with St. James Armenian Church beginning early in his life and was very proud of his Armenian heritage and culture. Aram served in the US Army where he was trained to pilot the B-25 bomber. After WWII, he finished college and joined his father's rug cleaning business. He continued his father's business and developed Arax Carpet, achieving success in carpet sales, but continued the traditional cleaning of oriental rugs until he retired at the age of 91 in March 2017. Aram and Lucille loved traveling with their friends and family throughout the world. Aram was very dedicated as an active member of the St. James Armenian Church and was a charter member of the Western Diocese Armenian Church camp committee. Aram is survived by Lucille, his bride of 65 glorious years, his son Jeff (Joan Yazejian) Bogosian, his daughter Janet (Greg) Roberts, his brother Deron (Rosalee) Bogosian, his sister-in-law Barbara (pre-deceased Lee) Neshanian, his grandchildren Shelby, Kimberly, Jason, Edward, Claire and Audrey, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services are planned for Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Armenian Church at 4950 West Slauson Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90056, with memorial lunch to follow. Viewing will be between 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at St. James Armenian Church. Interment is at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery at 5835 West Slauson Ave, Culver City, CA 90230. Friends wishing to honor him are encouraged to donate to St. James Armenian Church or Western Diocese Armenian Church Camp, in lieu of flowers.
