ALVARO A. CADENAS, son of Manuel Antonio Cadenas Aguilera and Angela Marianna Adan Molina passed away in Coral Gables, FL on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Josephina and son Alvaro Jr. Alvaro was born in Camaguey, Cuba on June 19, 1932. He joined the Cuban merchant marine and later began a new life in Florida as a commercial refrigeration engineer. He was a devoted father, husband and uncle. He was long time parishioner of the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, Florida. He is survived by his brother Manolo Cadenas, his sister Ana Maria Diaz Cadenas, 7 nieces & nephews, and 13 grand nieces & nephews. His good humor and kind smile will be sorely missed. Viewing will be held at 7:30 8:30 am at Caballero Rivero Funeral Home located at 3384 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135. Services will begin at 9am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, located at 11411 N.W. 25th Street, Doral, FL 33172. Mass will be held in the main sanctuary. Burial immediately following the mass.
