May 4th, 2018 Miller, Adele M. (Grocke), of New Port Richey , Fl and River Grove, IL. Age 89; beloved wife of the late Lester A. Miller. Loving mother of Leslie Merry (Miller), Ellen (Daniel) Ritt, and Leigh (Michael) Becker. Proud grandmother of Brenton C. Merry (Katie), Benjamin Miller Ritt, Casey Kathleen Ritt, Ben Becker, Rachel Becker, Ari Becker, and Elana Becker. Great grandmother to McKenzie and Madden Merry, and fond aunt of many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her dear cousin, Armella Walter survives her. She was the daughter of the late Bernard Grocke. Born in Chicago, IL, she was a graduate of Taft High School. When married, she and Les moved to River Grove, IL, where they raised their family. Adele worked for many years at Polk Brothers on Thatcher and Grand, forming many lifelong friendships. Later, she started a career selling real estate with Gladstone Realtors in Franklin Park. When it came time to retire, the Millers moved to Gulf Harbors in New Port Richey, Florida, where they lived for 20 years. Her final years were spent in the northwest Chicago suburbs. Adele was lucky at cards, enjoyed making lovely quilts for her family, went with her family traveling the entire US, enjoyed music and danced into her 80's. Later in life she was thrilled to travel the world on many trips, with exciting experiences. A private Funeral Service was held May 12, 2018 in the Blessed Mother Chapel at St. Joseph's Cemetery, followed by burial alongside her husband, and other loved family members.
