Anastasios "Tommy"Ioanni LoufasSeptember 14, 1926 - May 10, 2018Anastasios (Tommy) Ioanni Loufas 91, passed away on May 10, 2018.
Anastasios, was born in Haradros, Greece on September 14, 1926. He completed high school and was admitted to the United States on March 6, 1956. Along with family, he settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1960, he married Kostadina (Dina) Tzavaras at Holy Trinity Church in San Francisco. They raised two daughters in San Francisco and later moved to Millbrae.
Tommy retired from Emporuim Capwells after 25 years of hard work. Together with his wife he traveled to Greece most summers. He enjoyed watching wrestling and gardening. His favorite pass time was his family, especially watching his grandchildren grow.
In addition to his wife, Dina, he is survived by his daughter, Litsa Loufas Molinari, her husband Daniel Molinari and children Eva and Daniel and grandson Dominic. Daughter Georgia Skyriotis, her husband Ilias (Louis) Skyriotis and their children Mixali, Sofia, Anastasia, and Kostadina. Tommy is also survived by brother Bill Loufas and sisters Alexandra Gumas and Xanthi Tourlos, and many nieces and nephews.
A Vigil Service (Trisagion) will be held at 7pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018 followed by a Funeral Service at 11am on Friday, May 18, 2018. All services will be held at the Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, CA. Interment at Greek Orthodox Memorial Park in Colma, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts. Konstantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1224 Alabama Street, Vallejo CA 94590 or Church of the Holy Cross 900 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont CA 94002.
