Ammie Luckey Joyner Life celebration is Saturday Ammie Luckey Joyner, 84, made her transition on May 5, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Church of Christ, 94 Steuben St., East Orange, N.J. Interment to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Newark, N.J. Visitation is on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home. Born in Darlington, S.C., Ammie was a resident of Newark, N.J. Beloved wife of the late Johnnie Joyner, she was the devoted mother of Debby Strong, Barry, Calvin Sr., Johnnie Jr., and the late Robert Lee Joyner; dear daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Ammie Luckey; loving sister of Dorothy, Betty, Diane Shirley, Charles, and the late Grace, Olivia, Raymond, Walter and Miller Sr. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
