Elaine was 86 years old. She was born on June 9th, 1931 in Bountiful, UT to Lyman and Reeve Hill. She attended Stoker Elem and Davis High School. She married Kenneth Kearns and with him had 5 children - Karen Asanuma, Jeff Kearns, Becky George, Brent Kearns and Craig Kearns (deceased). She married Dan Reed and had Heidi (who died as a baby.) She is survived by both her sisters Norma Jacobsen, Charlotte Carroll and her brother Richard Hill, 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Elaine will be remembered for her beautiful quilts and wall hangings and her empathy for the under privileged children for whom she made and donated almost 400 hand tied quilts which she donated to hospitals and charities. This brought her much joy in her life. She was never idle.
She also worked many years with young special needs children in the SLC School District.
