Adelaide Ritacco Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Adelaide Ritacco, of Nutley, 97, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. Born in Newark, N.J., the daughter of Margaret (Poggi) and Michael Caruso, she lived in Belleville, N.J., prior to moving to Nutley in 1941. The funeral will be Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m. The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, N.J. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1 to 6 p.m. Adelaide was a lifelong New York Mets fan. She retired as a dietician from the Nutley Board of Education. The beloved wife of the late Michael Ritacco and mother of the late Cora Timchak and Linda Ritacco, she is survived by her sons, Michael J. and Pat and his wife, Linda; her son-in-law, Alan E. Timchak; her brother, John Caruso; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Oresta, Robert, and Arthur.
