Al Rutkow Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, 96 Al Rutkow died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at his home in Marlboro, N.J. He was 96. Born on Manhattan's Lower East Side, he resided in Springfield, N.J., before settling in Marlboro 32 years ago. Prior to retiring, he was a manufacturer's representative for several fabric companies throughout the New York/New Jersey metro region. Al is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Beatrice; a son, Ira (Beth); a daughter, Shelley (Mel); his grandchildren, Lainie (Adam), Eric, and Wendy; one great-grandson, Alex; and a sister, Rose (Sy). A graveside service will be held under the direction of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan, N.J., on Friday, April 27, at 1 p.m., at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J.
