Allan Elowitz Garment district executive and Army veteran Allan Elowitz, 86, passed away on April 19, 2018. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, N.J. Born on June 7, 1931, in the Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Elowitz was a 1950 graduate of Weequahic High School in Newark, N.J., and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Anne Kalm of Miami, Fla., in 1955. They moved to Colonia, N.J., in 1961, where they raised their three sons, living there until their retirement in 1999 to Jackson, N.J. Mr. Elowitz spent his 46-year career in the garment industry working in New Jersey and New York. He was most recently a Jackson Twp. resident; a lifelong fan of the N.Y. Mets and in football, the N.Y. Giants; and enjoyed rose gardening, antique and stamp collecting, and traveling on many cruises. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Anne, in 2006. He is survived by his three sons, Ken Elowitz of Cary, N.C., Michael Elowitz of Pine Bush, N.Y., and Ronald Elowitz and his wife, Cherilynn Whitehouse, of Watchung, N.J. He is also survived by his brother, Jerrold Elowitz of Indio, Calif., and granddaughter, Ariana Elowitz, also of Pine Bush.
