Charles S. CeriniJuly 22, 1926 - March 13, 2018Charles S. Cerini passed away peacefully on March 13, 2018, in Burlingame, CA. He was born on July 22, 1926 in Tomales, CA and was a resident of South San Francisco for 68 years.
Dearly beloved husband of the late Enes Cerini. Cherished father of Ann French (Tom) of San Ramon and Charles R. Cerini (Sharon) of Redwood City. Devoted grandfather of: Kevin Cerini, Stephanie Cerini, and Stacy (Phil) Sayles, and great grandfather of Tyce and Tavin Sayles. Brother of Angie Katen of Petaluma, CA and the late Leroy Cerini of Valley Ford, CA.
Charlie worked for many years as a butcher with Swift & Company in South San Francisco until its closure in 1968 and at various Bay Area grocery store locations retiring from the South San Francisco QFI in 1991. He was quiet, kind and a true gentleman. He had the most beautiful garden that he tended to daily and enjoyed working on various projects around his home. His favorite pastime was spending time with his loved ones while enjoying a Manhattan.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 6PM to 8PM at Garden Chapel on Tuesday, March 20 where a vigil service will begin at 7PM. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 21 at 11AM at Garden Chapel. (Garden Chapel is located at: 885 El Camino Real South San Francisco.) Committal at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Reception to follow.
