January 11, 1937 - March 7, 2018 Carole Jean Grobon Johnston was called home by our loving Savior on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018, after a brief illness and surrounded by her loving family. Carole was a treasured wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother (Nan), great-grandmother, daughter, sister-in-law, aunt, friend and confidante. Heaven is most certainly celebrating her arrival. Carole was born in Santa Monica, CA, and lived in Simi Valley for fifty years. She was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Carole graduated from Saint Monica's Catholic High School in 1954. She also attended UCLA and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She excelled in her academic years receiving scholarships for her dedication and hard work. In 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Victor Hancock Johnston. Together they raised 4 children and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage! Carole is survived by her loving husband, Victor, and adoring family: son Jeff, daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Alan, son John and daughter-in-law Jodi, and son Jim. Also grandchildren Ryanne, Bryce, Victoria, Kaitlin, Sara, Alyssa, Isabella, and Olivia, and great-granddaughters Macy and Piper. Carole is being held in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father along with her beloved grandson Andrew, who passed on before her. A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Monday, March 19th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Simi Valley. Private burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
