May you be in peace.
Granger, Utah - Born January 1, 1970, Ginger was the first baby of the year in SLC. As a child model, actress, and dancer, she could be seen in several local television commercials and dancing with Ballet West. In high school, she was on the drill and cheerleading teams. After graduating from Granger High in 1988, she attended the University of Utah where she received her BA in Sociology/Criminology, and later attended Weber State University to receive an MA in Criminal Justice. She worked at the U of U as Research Project Manager for many years.
Ginger had many interests: she loved to cook, bake, and craft, and was very talented in each. She loved music, especially Marilyn Manson, and was a longtime supporter of the Heavy Metal Shop. Ginger loved fashion and dressed impeccably. She also loved dogs and had four Shih Tzus. Shmee was 14 when he passed in 2014, and it truly broke her heart. Her previous dogs were Meemers, Mr. Gosh, and Ichiban.
Anyone that knew Ginger describes her as one of the kindest, most generous people they've known. She had a great sense of humor, and a beautiful soul glow. Her absence is profound.
Ginger is survived by her "rock" and partner, Nathan Anderson, her sister-friend Chantell Wiley and family: James, Brianne, Lauren, and Colten, and her dear friends Annette, Darrin, and Wade. She is proceeded in death by her parents Karen Guest and Joseph Lyman Guest, and her four Shih Tzus. Thanks to Jeana Marie, Michael, the Kirks and their kids and grandkids, and to anyone else who knew and loved Ginger.
To honor her, please make a donation in Ginger's name to the Lone Star Shih Tzu rescue organization: http://www.shihtzu-rescue.com/ or mail donations to:
