October 24, 1931 - January 14, 2018 Anne died peacefully on January 14, 2018. She was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. She lived there for five years before moving to Williamsport, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Williamsport High School in 1949. As a teenager she excelled at the piano in regional competitions, and she continued to enjoy playing the piano for the rest of her life. She attended Wells College in Aurora, New York and graduated from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas, with a Bachelor of Science in education in 1953. She studied physical therapy at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. She married McCormick Templeton on August 19, 1954 in Williamsport, PA. They moved to Evanston, Illinois, in 1958 and then to Los Angeles in 1965. McCormick died in 2000. Anne moved to Channing House in Palo Alto in 2007. She is survived by her siblings John, Sally, and Seth, her sons John (Jill) and Sheldon (Debbie), and her four grandchildren: Scott, Kevin, Claire, and Emily (Kyle). The family invites friends to a Memorial Celebration on April 14th at Channing House, Palo Alto, CA. Donations in memory of Anne can be made to organizations she supported, which include National Wildlife Federation, American Civil Liberties Union, Sempervirens Fund, and .
