ALAN RALPH ALKIRE  
On December 19, 2017, Alan R. Alkire, age 80, passed away in Silver Spring, MD. He was the son of the late Ralph Harold and Kathryn (Bidinger) Alkire; father of Marie-France Ponton of Gettysburg, PA and the late Ralph A. Alkire of Rockville, MD; and grandfather of Evan, Bryan and Paul Ponton, III. Alan also leaves behind sisters, Kara (Herbert, Dee Dee) Wilkinson of Chestertown, MD and Nancy (Gordon) Kissner of Salisbury, MD; as well as nieces and nephews. Alan spent most of his life in the DC Metropolitan area. In his younger years, he loved playing golf, painting and his career was in art restoration. May he rest in peace. Service will be private.
