Alice (Carr) Kilpatrick, born on February 1, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, died peacefully at age 95 on February 11, 2018 in Lafayette, California. She was the beloved wife of John Kilpatrick, her high school sweetheart, who died in 1991. John and Alice raised their family in Ohio and then in Barrington, Illinois, where she inspired others as an educator. She is survived by her daughters Blair Kilpatrick (Steve Tabak) and Laurie Kilpatrick (Glen Misek), son Rod Kilpatrick, brother EJ Carr, four grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. Donations are invited in her name to Chicago Botanic Garden.
