He graduated from Senn High School and attended the University of Illinois where he met his beloved wife, Marlene, who preceded him in death in 2014. A successful businessman all his life, Edward founded Detroit Industrial Tool in 1976, which became the largest diamond blade supplier in the U.S. Born in the midst of the Great Depression, Edward absorbed the values and ideals that sustained his family during that dark time: devotion, toughness, generosity, fairness, humor, kindness, hard work, and absolute, unconditional, and enduring love for family. He demonstrated these inspiring qualities in every arena of his life: as husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, employer and lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and the L.A. Lakers. He is survived by his two daughters, Wendy and Barbara, and two cherished grandchildren Danielle and Phillip. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Edward to the .
