Albert G. Perez

December 1931 - January 2018 Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. "Al" served three years in the Korean War aboard the attack carrier U.S.S. Essex. After the war ended, he returned to Tucson, where he earned his degree from the University of Arizona. He was employed with the State of California and retired in 2000. Al was also an elected official with the City of South El Monte and last served the comminity in 2003. He received numerous awards and recognitions and was personally invited to Bill Clinton's Presidential Inauguration. Al will always be remembered for his generosity, love for life and his great wisdom. Al is survived by Sylvia, his loving wife of 65 years, his 4 children: Debbie Guerra, Catherine Woodland, Esq. (Robert), Albert Perez Jr., Esq. (Lola), and Robert Perez (Kristi); 3 grandchildren: Brian Guerra (Michelle), Amanda Perez, and AJ Perez III; and 2 great-grandchildren: Savannah Guerra and Sonny Guerra. He will be loved everyday.
