Alan M. Corney May 15, 1931 - Jan. 12, 2018 Alan was born to Rae and Josh Corney in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he spent his early years. After high school in Baltimore he attended Brown University, where in addition to multiple leadership roles including class president and president of the Brown Key, he met his wife, Judy Robinson. Judy and Alan spent most of their lives in New Jersey, first in Scotch Plains, then in Berkeley Heights, and finally in Morris Township. An Eagle Scout, outdoorsman, and sailor, he worked in the furniture industry. In retirement he pursued his lifelong interest in boating in Longboat Key, Fla., where he worked on building and restoring wooden boats. He and Judy moved from New Jersey to California six years ago to be closer to their children. He is survived by his wife, Judy, his children, Steve and Andrea, his grandchildren, Chris and Bryan, and a great-grandson, Lincoln. A memorial service will be held in Saratoga, Calif.
