Alexander J. MontelongoFeb 8, 1921 - Jan 9, 2018Alexander "Fatty" Montelongo was nicknamed after Fatty Arbuckle, the silent movie star. He was the fourth child and third son of Alejandro and Liboria Montelongo. He grew up in North Beach, San Francisco until he served in the US Navy during World War II. He later met at a dance the love of his life Alicia and married her in 1951. They lived in the Mission District until the mid-sixties when they moved to Daly City. In 1987 Fatty retired and they moved to American Canyon.
Fatty spent his retired years enjoying popular music, the Oakland A's and the Lawrence Welk program. His wife Alicia passed away in 2005.
Fatty is survived by sisters Armida Adan and Mary Louise Chantri and brother Daniel Montelongo.
Funeral services will be on Thursday January 18th 10:00am at Hull's Walnut Cree Chapel followed by internment at Olivet Memorial Park, Colma.
